Mark the date! The 2023 Vancouver UX Awards will be back on March 29th, 2023. Our new organizing committee is excited to introduce you to our award categories this year, and we’re happy to announce that submissions are now open!

New award categories

We’re proud to introduce five brand new categories for this year’s award:

• Best Digital Product Experience
• Best Content Experience
• Best Public Sector Experience
• Best Interactive Experience
• UX Leader of Year

‍

The new categories are inspired by the expanding growth in the User Experience practice. Every day, new industries are taking advantage of what User Experience has to offer, seeing the value it provides not only to their customers and users, but their internal teams. The new categories also open up the awards to a new range of sectors, allowing our team to expand the awards to greater heights.

2023 Van UX Award Categories

Best Digital Product Experience: To be presented to the digital service with the best overall user experience.

‍

Best Student Project: To be presented to the student or group with the best user experience research and/or design project. The student or group must be enrolled in a BC-based school, college or university.

‍

Best Retail or e-Commerce Experience: To be presented to the best B2C or B2B e-commerce user experience.

‍

Best Content Experience: To be presented to the digital service with a strong information architecture that makes content easy to find, navigate, and digest.

‍

Best Non-Profit Experience: To be presented to the non-profit organization with the best user experience.

‍

Best Public Sector Experience: To be presented to the public sector organization (government, schools, health authorities, etc.) with the best user experience.

‍

Best Interactive Experience: To be presented to a digital product with the best user experience in the areas of AR/VR, metaverse, game, IoT, Voice, or other emerging technology.

‍

People’s Choice Award: To be presented to the best submission from the finalists in all categories, selected by the Vancouver UX Community.

‍

Jury Award: Best UX: To be presented to the best overall submission from the finalists in all categories.

‍

‍UX Leader of Year: To be presented to the individual with the most impressive achievements and impact on the UX community in BC.

Calling for submissions!

We are now accepting submissions for the 2023 Vancouver UX Awards. Your work will be evaluated by the following criteria's:

• Objectives
• Strategy
• Impact
• Innovation
• Elegance
• Emotion

All award submissions will be judged by an independently chosen panel of seasoned UX veterans, representing different sectors of the UX industry.
