The Vancouver User Experience Awards are back for 2023!

As Freddy Mercury once said, "The show must go on!". We're proud to announce that the Vancouver User Experience Awards are back for 2023!

The largest UX design focused event is returning, with our first full scale event since 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic. For 9 years, the Vancouver UX Awards has brought together the brightest minds in the UX, Design and Technology community, and planning is well underway on our biggest event yet.

A new organizing committee

‍

The first 5 years saw a small team of leaders from Habanero, POWERSHiFTER, and OXD bring the Vancouver UX Awards to life, fostering a community of design practitioners around the Vancouver area. Their vision filled an essential gap in the community, creating a space to celebrate the incredible work that's produced in the Lower Mainland.

In 2019, the teams at Antenna Consulting, Apply Digital, and Domain7 continued the incredible work from their predecessors and built up the Vancouver UX Awards to what it is today. Their tireless commitment helped maintain the event through the COVID-19 pandemic, hosting a full awards show in 2019, a fully online event in 2020, and a hybrid event in 2021. We're extremely grateful for their commitment to the design community, and humbled that they've chosen us to carry the torch.

2023 will see a new group of organizers, bringing together representatives from private agencies, the public sector and industry advocates. The 2023 Organizing committee brings together representatives from Goat, Apply Digital, The District of North Vancouver and Design Professionals of Canada (DesCan) - formerly GDC. We'll be working with the prior team, leaning on their experience, expertise and guidance as we organize this year’s event.

Demo Day Is Back!

Feedback from 2019 was clear. Demo Day was a huge hit, and it'll be back for this years awards! More to come on this front.
