Submissions are due October 31 at 11:59 p.m. PST

Please submit the URL to your live work, as well as any supporting materials like case studies, screenshots, videos, etc. Judges care more about the content of the submission than the format, so please make sure your entry fulfills the award criteria. Ensure you have enough screenshots to demonstrate your entry if the work is not live or externally accessible.

Judging Criteria

Entries are judged on the following criteria: joy, elegance, simplicity, and innovation. These four tenets inspire UX practitioners every day, and each is meant to capture the high-quality work coming out of the Lower Mainland right now.

Joy

Is the work delightful to use? How much care appears to be put on delighting people?

Elegance

How cohesive and smooth does the solution feel? How seamless and consistent are users’ interactions with the solution?

Simplicity

Is it easy to navigate? Can a user find what they want easily?

Innovation

What’s unique and different about this work? How does it compare to what’s out there right now?

Rules of entry

Winning solutions may be showcased in future competitions as examples of exemplary work. Please ensure all private information is removed from screenshots. We will publicly credit all winners if screenshots or material from the submission is used in the future.

All judging is confidential, and winners will only be contacted following the adjudication process. Vancouver UX Awards judges will not respond to questions about the status of an entry, nor will they provide details about why a solution was not chosen for an award.
